My Little Brother is joining the Air Force

My little brother Jon is joining the Air Force. He does not know the exact date he will be leaving but he thinks it will be sometime in October. Even though we will miss him being away from us for 4 years, we support him and love him very much. (Yes, and even Taelor and Ethan will miss you too). He scored double the average on his written test and they would like to have him be a part of the Military Intelligence. He will be successful at whatever he does and has a wonderful bright future ahead of him. Please pray for Jon as he heads into a new chapter of his life. We love you Jon and wish you all the best!

Our FUN weekend!

We had such a GREAT weekend. On Saturday we went to the Aquarium of the Pacific. The weather down there was perfect, not a cloud in the sky! Taelor loved it and wanted to go swimming in the water with the fish. Her favorite part was the sea lions, they were playing right in front of her and she was so amused by them. She also loved the bird sanctuary, one of them even pooped in front of her and she said "eew", it was so funny. Ethan's eyes were open so wide and he was just taking everything in, it was so cute to see him in amazement. Saul and I enjoyed our day with the kids, even though it was very crowded. Maybe next time we will not go on a holiday weekend!

Saul and I had a DATE NIGHT on Saturday. Grandma Sandie came over to watch the kids. Saul treated me to dinner at Cheesecake Factory and we saw Indiana Jones (of course Saul's pick). I actually enjoyed the movie, it was entertaining, but I have nothing to compare it to as I have never seen any of the other ones even though Saul owns the box set. So now I guess I will have to watch the others. Having a night out with just the two of us was great. It is always so nice spending quality time with my hubby. I always look forward to our date nights. Next movie will be my pick!

Sunday we went to Chuck E Cheese for our friend Brody's 3rd birthday. Taelor had a blast and was very sad when we had to leave. But she is scared of Chuck E, what little one isn't??

We had a busy day on Monday. Our friends Katrina and Shea came over for a visit and Taelor and Makenna played for a few hours, we had a lot of fun chatting with each other, it is always so nice to see them. Then later in the day we headed over to Aunt Deb and Uncle Tom's house for a BBQ. It was nice seeing the family and eating some good food! We were all exhausted by the end of the day and the kiddo's crashed as soon as we got home. Now that the weekend is over, I am looking forward to mellow week!

Ethan's first shots

Poor little Ethan had his first shots today. He was such a trooper and did very well for the first two, but the 3rd & 4th shots he looked at me with his sad little face and got his pouty lip going and let out a cry. I felt so bad for him, he didn't even know what was coming. But when he was all done I picked him up and he was good after that. Shots are so hard to do, I don't look forward to them at all. As a mom you wish you could take away all the pains they feel, and this is only the beginning, I can't imagine how I will be as they get older.

Ethan has gained almost 4 lbs. He now weighs 12 lbs 14 oz (he is in the 50% percentile) and is 24 1/2 inches long (97% percentile). At least he is taking after his daddy in height and not his mommy! Even though shots are no fun, he is a healthy boy and that is all that matters to us.

An update on the William's family...

So I have decided to do a blogspot instead of our website and I hope to blog as often as I can or when I have free time....oh yeah, free time, what is that?? Anyways here is what has been going on in our lives lately...

So the last few months have been so wonderful. Ethan is already 11 weeks old (2 1/2 months) and is getting so big. He is such a mellow little guy (unlike his big sis who is full of energy). His little personality is starting to show and it is so cute. His smiles are irresistible and he is starting to coo so much. Daddy and him carry on long conversations with each other, it is so cute to watch. He is an amazing little boy who has already won my heart over, he is already a true momma's boy! We are so in love with him. It is truly amazing how much you can share your love with two children and your love for them continues to grow more and more each day. Ethan has started to laugh this past week, it is such a cute little laugh. He has been such a blessing to our family and we are looking forward to all the wonderful memories we will have as a family of four now.

Taelor- what can I say about this darling, strong willed, determined little girl. Can you say energy, energy, energy!! She is on the go always (wonder who she gets that from)! As Taelor always says "go go"! She is so precious and always brings a smile to our face. Seeing her as a big sister is so wonderful. She just loves her little brother so much, always giving him kisses, tickling his feet, shoving his binkie in his mouth and sometimes his eyes. I think sometimes Ethan just wants to be left alone, but Taelor is always by his side. She loves to hold him and feed him his bottle, she is already such a little mommy to him. Taelor is growing up so fast, sometimes too fast. I wish time could slow down because she has gone from a baby to a little toddler in a flash. She is learning so many new things and saying so many words, her newest word is vacuum (only because she is so scared of it) she is always saying "bye vacuum". She is starting to repeat a lot of words, it is so cute. Now don't get me wrong some days she is quite a handful, but at the end of those days we are always still thankful for the wonderful little girl she is.

Even though we were a little worried of how crazy our lives were going to be with kids who were 14 months apart, we have adjusted, and as crazy as it may seem, we have enjoyed them being this close. We thank God every day for giving us such a wonderful, content little boy. If he wasn't so easy, we may have lost our minds by now. Somedays are more tiring than others and somedays I just need a little "me" time, but at the end of each day, we look at both of them as we lay them down for bed and we are so happy to be Taelor and Ethan's parents.
