Busy...

So life has been so busy and I have not had a moment to blog. I went back to work full time last week and my days just go by in a flash. By the time I get home, eat dinner, play with the kids, bathe and put the kids to bed, get ready for the next day, wash bottles, do a load of laundry, then sit on the couch with my hubby and enjoy all my shows I am into, I have no time to get on the computer, nor do I want to some days. And now that all the TV shows are back on, I LOVE to veg and watch my shows...Grey's Anatomy, Jon & Kate plus 8, The Amazing Race, Desperate Housewives, ER, Brothers & Sisters and of course I have been hooked on an old zip code with new faces 90210...I know Saul thinks the show is pretty dumb but I still watch it anyways! ( I still have to DVR some of them because I just don't have time to watch them all!! ) We have been pretty busy lately and we are still wondering where the FALL WEATHER is??? We got a taste of some chilly weather this weekend but it only lasted for one day, we need a whole month or two of chilly days and some rain!!

Long QT mentioned in Parenting Magazine

Last night I was reading the September issue of Parenting magazine and I started reading an article on SIDS (sudden infant death syndrome) SIDS and Babies - Parenting.com . Unfortunately doctors are still trying to figure out what causes SIDS but in the article it mentioned that there might be other causes such as a metabolic disorder or Long QT (an electrical disorder in the heart that causes sudden bursts of extremely rapid heartbeats and can lead to cardiac arrest) which researchers are looking into since these cause no symptoms but are fatal as well. Now as most of you know I have Long QT and when I read anything that mentions this condition I feel like the word is getting out about this rare condition. There is a new genetic test that has just come out that Taelor and Ethan will be taking to see if they have Long QT. They were both tested at birth and everything looked normal but my doctor would like to have the genetic test done since sometimes it will not show up until adolescent age. I can only pray that God has created healthy hearts for them. Please pass this information along about Long QT and to read more about this condition please visit http://www.sads.org/

6 year anniversary

On September 7th Saul and I celebrated our 6 year anniversary. WOW it has already been 6 years, and might I add the best 6 years of my life. Saul is the most wonderful husband, friend and father I have ever met, he is the love of my life and I love him so much! We have had so many wonderful memories over the past 6 years and I love looking back on all the things we have done and been through and we are so thankful for all those moments. We were able to go away for the weekend to San Diego WITH NO KIDS!! My loving sister Renae came over and watched the kids...Taelor and Ethan say "thank you Auntie, we had so much fun with you, can't wait to do it again"! Thank you Renae, we love you!

So our weekend away was GREAT and RELAXING. We went shopping at Horton Plaza, walked up and down the Gaslamp district, had a wonderful, QUIET dinner at a steak house, Lou & Mickeys (I let Saul choose since he rarely eats steak), and then on Sunday we enjoyed a nice walk down in La Jolla. It was so great to get away just the two of us, we really needed the time together. We did miss the kids though, so we were excited to get home and see them. We look forward to another weekend away in the future....

Rachel and Sean's Wedding

My little cousin Rachel got married to a wonderful man, Sean Thompson on Sept 6th. The wedding was so beautiful and Rachel looked amazing and was glowing from head to toe. I am so excited for the two of them to start their lives together. Congratulations Rachel and Sean, we love you! We look forward to this new chapter in your lives. Welcome to the family Sean!!

Ethan's 6 month update

Our precious little boy is 6 months old ALREADY and is getting so big!! He is still my little baby but he sure is not a little newborn anymore. He had his appt today and weighs 17lbs 11oz (50% percentile) and is 28 inches long (97%). Soon he will be catching up with Taelor. He was a trooper for his shots, I think it makes me feel worse than anything! Shots are no fun!!Well the past few months have been so wonderful watching Ethan grow up. Ethan loves to play with anything he can get his hands on (even his sisters ponytails). His first two bottom teeth came through about 3 weeks ago and he can sit up on his own for a little while. The past few days he has been scooting on his belly to get things in front of him, so it's only a matter of time before he is off and crawling. He is starting to babble "du, du, du" and "bu bu bu". I know he will be saying "dada" soon (even though he doesn't know what he is really saying), Saul still gets so excited! I love watching him and Taelor together, he just adores her and laughs at everything she does. The other day Taelor wanted to dance with him so she grabbed his hands and starting dancing and singing to him, it was so cute, I even caught it on video! We are looking forward to the next few months as Ethan gets older, he is so much fun to be around and is just about the happiest, smiliest baby I have ever known. I love him to pieces and just can't get enough of him!

My Little Princess

My little Taelor is growing up so fast and is already 20 months old. Where does time go? I have realized it goes by even faster when you have kids. The past few weeks Taelor has been amazing us every day with so many different things she is learning and she is also challenging us as parents as she is entering her "wonderful twos". She makes my heart melt every day whether she is going around the house dancing and singing, walking in my high heels, playing with her brother, or just simply being Taelor. She has such a strong willed child with a big personality, even though sometimes we wonder where her unique personality comes from, but she is truly a blessing to our lives and we love her so much.

Football Season is here!!

Yeah, we are so excited that football season is here! Now if only the weather would change it would be perfect. When football starts it means that fall is just around the corner and I enjoy watching the games with my hubby, and I even understand the game (or at least most of it)! We are Trojan fans around here and we look forward to another great season. If anyone wants to come over for a game you are always welcome, football will be on for the next 5 months around here! Happy Football watching....GO USC!

Taelor in her new hat

Taelor picked out this hat the other day at H & M and she loves it! I think it is just too cute!

Pictures of Callie

Here are some pictures of my precious little niece Callie. She was such a good model for her first photo shoot. As many of you know I am obsessed with pictures and I am having lots of fun practicing on my kids and my little niece! Enjoy the pictures!

That was a great meal!

Just thought I would share this adorable photo. Ethan had just finished eating his dinner and I guess it was so good that it made him fall asleep at the table. It was so cute. It's good to know he can fall asleep just about anywhere. Taelor thought it was so funny that brother fell asleep in his high chair! I have always seen this on home videos on TV and have wondered how can these kids just fall asleep, and now I know when they are tired they don't care where they fall asleep!
