Where did February go???

Really is it already March and it has been a month since I have blogged??? I feel like February flew by, well actually it did, at least for us it did! We have had a very BUSY month. Actually it has been a month of sickness for us. After I blogged about Ethan getting the stomach bug, Taelor got a cold, Saul got a cold, I got a cold and then Ethan woke up a week later with croup cough. Oh that cough is so horrible sounding. It really does sound like a seal barking. The kids have been battling a cold for a few weeks now, sniffles and sneezes seem like it is never ending. Last week they both came down with ear infections to top it off. I am hoping we are on the road to recovery as I don't think any one of us can take being sick much longer. But I am looking forward to March! Hopefully it is a healthy one!

My buddy is so sick

My little Ethan is so sick with the stomach flu. I have been thrown up on and have been cleaning up throw up for the past 3 days. Nothing is more sad to me then to see your little one sick. Luckily he is in pretty good spirits, but he still is just not himself. Pray that he gets better!

Happy Birthday to Me the big 30....My Surprise Party

I turned the BIG 30 last week on January 14th! Really, I am 30 already, where does time go?? I sometimes feel like it was only yesterday that I was 16 getting my drivers license, but that was almost half my life ago! I feel like my life has been on fast forward since then.....high school graduation, getting a job at Trader Joes where I met my wonderful hubby, Saul, graduating from FIDM, starting at Tilly's (10 years ago), going through two defibrillators, getting married, becoming a wife, buying a house, meeting new friends, getting pregnant with our first baby, six months later getting pregnant with our second baby (having two kids within 14 months of each other is whirlwind in itself), enjoying every moment of being a mom, working, and in between bottles, diapers, wipes, sippy cups, cries and laughs I take a breath and enjoy sometime for me! My twenties were fun and I accomplished a lot but most of all I learned a lot throughout my twenties and made some wonderful unforgettable memories. So what will my 30's bring me? I can hardly wait to see, but I am sure these next 10 years will go by even faster than the last! I am looking forward to my thirties and a new decade in my life..... Here's to being 30!!!

Surprise to me.....

Well, I had a great birthday, my wonderful Hubby and my sister Renae (and help from other friends and family) pulled together a surprise party for me and to top it off it was an 80's theme! My parents were so kind to open up there house to a house full of family and friends, I couldn't thank them enough. I was so surprised and seeing everyone dressed in 80's clothing was so much fun. My friends even picked me out an outfit to wear for the night! I loved every moment of my party and I hope all who came enjoyed themselves as well. Thank you to everyone who had a hand in helping out, it turned out great and I was very surprised!!

I will post pictures in the next few days!

Taelor is 2

Our sweet little princess turned 2 on December 31 (New Year's Eve). I can't believe it was only 2 years ago that after a long (21 hours long) labor Taelor joined the world. It only feels like it was yesterday that we were bringing her home, little did we know that day would change our lives forever. When Taelor was only a few days old, she was already so full of personality and for most of you who know her she definitely has a personality of her own. She is a true leader and for a little 2 year old she has an opinion about anything and everything (even the way you look at her).

Taelor, you are an amazing little girl who we love so much. You have brought so much joy into our lives and seeing you this year as a Big Sister has even brought more joy to our lives. You have changed into a sweet, adorable "little girl", who talks up a storm, who bosses your brother around, who gives us hugs and kisses only on your terms, who lights up a room when you enter, who makes me laugh, smile and cry all in one day, who tells me you luv me, and best of all who makes me so proud of being a mommy!

You love to draw, color, clean (you get that from your daddy), you insist on putting on your own clothes on even though sometimes you get so frustrated when both of your legs get stuck in one pant leg. You are my little helper around the house, you are always keeping tabs on your brother and you definitely let me know when he is doing something he is not supposed to be doing (NO, NO Ethan you say), I think sometimes you think he is just one of you baby dolls! You love shoes and hats, you insist on wearing hats just about everyday and even sometimes you insist on sleeping with them on (I have to pick my battles and this is one I will let you win). Princess Cinderella is your favorite right now and you love to sing twinkle twinkle (you say "up above, sky, tinkle, tinkle star") it makes us smile every night we sing it to you. You are very headstrong and stubborn at times (ok, a lot of the times) but you are like a sponge these days. You love Oswald and Little Bear and your favorite book at the moment is Caillou which you insist on reading every night! You made my hear melt the other night, I told you I love you and you replied with "aw your cute mommy, you are pretty mommy" and it really brought a tear to my eye knowing that even though you may not understand all you say, just the thought that you said it made me so happy.

It has been a wonderful year with lots of ups and downs with you, a lot of learning curves, challenges, stumbles and falls but through it all you are my world. I love you to pieces and I look forward to this next year in your life.

Happy 2nd Birthday Taelor!

Disneyland...The Happiest Place on Earth

A few weeks ago we took the kids to Disneyland for Taelor's birthday and it had to of been one of the best days I have had in a long time. So I LOVE Disneyland, but when I saw Taelor's face light up with so mush joy and expression, to be able to see the magic through a 2 year olds eyes was so fulfilling and made me so excited. Ethan loved every moment of it as well, with his eyes opened so wide to soak up everything he saw. Taelor was a bit scared of some of the rides (Snow White), I don't even think she looked up once, really it is kind of scary, but she loved the train ride, and the carousel. Her favorite part of all was meeting the Princesses (yes, mom stood in line with her for 45 minutes so she could take a picture with them, well at least one of them...Cinderella her favorite). Watching her face while she watched the parade was a moment I will never forget, and when it snowed she was so amazed! I can't wait to take them back. Disneyland really is the happiest place on earth!!

Happy New Year

So I am a few days (ok a few weeks) behind on the New Year, but I have had such a busy, crazy week...but what's new. Well I hope everyone had a wonderful new year's celebration. As for us, we celebrated Taelor's 2nd Birthday on New Years Eve at Red Robin (wasn't our first choice but Rainforest Cafe was closed for a private party...who has the money to do that??). We watched the New York Live showing of the ball dropping with Taelor at 9 (Ethan was fast asleep), she thought it was so great but I think she thought it was all for her birthday! Well honey, you will always have a big celebration on your big day every year!! Thank goodness we watched it at this time as Saul and I both fell asleep at 11:30 and woke up at 12:02....I can't believe we did this, oh well maybe next year we will be able to stay up!

We are looking forward to a new year with new beginnings and new changes in our lives. Saul started a new job this past week so he has already started his year off with something new. We will have to wait and see what GREAT new things are going to come of this year. I love starting off a new year, I feel like it is a great time to regroup all your thoughts, your priorities and yourself. 2008 was a hard year (as it was for a lot of people), but we hope to make 2009 a better year. I want to wish everyone a year of hope, faith, love and prosperity! Here is to a wonderful 2009!

Santa came to the Williams home and brought Taelor a tricycle bike and Ethan a Tonka truck and a lot of other fun toys (cars, a princess castle, books and even Santa's elves left us all Christmas pj's on Christmas Eve). Taelor was so amazed and she said "santa bike", she was so excited and rode her bike the whole morning (well she can't really ride it quite yet so she scooted it with her feet). She also got a princess helmet that she wore the entire morning, she refused to take it off. Christmas day was another relaxing day, we hung out at home until mid afternoon and we headed to Grandma Sandie's house where we ate lots of yummy food and dessert. Taelor thought it was so funny when Sandie lit the Christmas pudding on fire, she loved it (of course we gave her a piece without brandy on it). Ethan was still feeling a little off but was still in good spirits. He was so exhausted by the end of the day as we all were. We are so thankful for all the wonderful gifts we received and for what the kids received, thank you! I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and will have a safe and Happy New Year!

Christmas was so GREAT this year. We spent Christmas Eve at my parents house, we ate yummy tamales (my mom makes chile and cheese ones also, so I am not left out). We hung out until the wee hours of the night opening presents and talking and enjoying the kids and their excitement. Seeing Christmas through a child's eyes this year was such an amazing time. Taelor and Ethan really enjoyed Christmas,Taelor was really getting into Christmas. We sang Christmas carols every day, I talked to her about the true meaning of Christmas, Jesus' Birthday, we took them around town to see all the Christmas lights on the houses (she calls them Santa lights). Ethan is a bit too young so maybe next year he will understand it more. The week of Christmas did not start off to well. Ethan started running a fever on Monday, Tuesday morning Taelor was throwing up, Ethan's fever was getting higher and by night time it was up to 104, then he started throwing up and as I was holding him, he began shaking, he did this 4 times and we began to worry, I knew sometimes they can get seizures from the high temp, so at 11 pm we took him to the emergency room (thank you to my friend Vanessa for coming over and sleeping on the couch while we went). This was our first trip to the emergency room and I am sure it won't be our last. Poor little Ethan got poked and at, he threw up in the room, all over himself and me. He ended up being just fine, he just had a stomach bug. They gave him something for his tummy and some Tylenol up his buns (he did not like that), and Motrin to get his fever down. Needless to say, I was glad we went in to know that he was OK. Taelor was sick for the day and Ethan finally was feeling better on Friday. You can tell by his pictures that he wasn't at his best. But that did not ruin our Christmas, we loved and enjoyed every moment. I am sad that it is over but I am looking forward to a New Year with new beginnings and new chapters in our lives to begin.
