Dance Class
Taelor started dance class and after the drama of not stepping foot into her first class, she decided the second class she was going to give it a try and she LOVED it and mommy loved watching the joy on her face! Can't wait to see her grow into bella ballerina (as she calls herself!). Now she can't wait to go back!

2 Favorite Movies this week

This past week we rented both of these movies and will now be purchasing, Tinkerbell and the Great Fairy Rescue and Nanny McPhee, and I LOVED them or should I say WE LOVED them. The kids enjoyed both of these movies. Of course we own and watch the first Tinkerbell so when this one came out we watched it and it was super cute! I love the Tinkerbell movies because there really is no scary good vs evil in them. They are cute with a good story behind them.
I know I may be a bit behind on the Nanny McPhee movie, but I LOVED this movie, it reminded me of Mary Poppins which the kids really enjoy too. At first I wasn't sure if it was right for the kids, if it was too old and if the story would be ok, well it turned out they loved it and they got the story of how the kids needed to learn to be polite and not so naughty. Very cute and I can't wait to see the next one.
Preschool

Taelor started preschool this past month and I lots of mixed feelings, sad, happy, excited and nervous. Well the first day went pretty good, she did not cry (or at least not while we were there). I thought I had it all put together, I was happy my little girl was entering a new season in her life, it's a big part of growing up, but on the other hand, SHE WAS GROWING UP! I mean really can life just slow down a bit. As I was walking away all calm and composed I turned back one more time to see my little girl and I saw her precious, almost sad but happy face just waving to me and I waved back, blew a kiss, put my sunglasses on and tears started coming! As I walked to the car where daddy and Ethan were I just kept crying. I don't know if it was tears of joy, sadness or what, but all I knew was that for the first time in Taelor's life, she was being left with someone we didn't even know. That was hard for me, and not to mention the fact that Ethan had a meltdown because he couldn't stay at school with sissy and that for the first time they were being separated, it was a hard but good day, I guess. After picking her up I wasn't sure if she liked it or not, she did say she cried for me during snack time but her teacher held her and then she was ok.
The second day was not as good, Daddy had to drop her off due to my work schedule and he said it did not go well when he had to leave, it was so hard on him to see her crying, but eventually she stopped and went on with her day. But last week an opportunity came up for us to send her to a preschool we looked into a few months back, Miss Jodi's Learning Garden, they just revamped their programs and a new session of preschool is starting on Tuesday, so once again Taelor will have another 1st "1st day". I hate to make such changes in a 3 year olds routine, but I feel this school will be a better fit for her and us. So I will have to post about her first day again!
September where did you go?

Ethan 2 1/2
You love dogs!! This is your friend Roxy.
Oh my little Ethan you are 2 1/2, where did the time go? You are such a cheeky little monkey with a smile that will melt any ones heart. You give the best kisses, you make us laugh and your a witty little guy with so much personality. You are into Toy Story, no you are REALLY into Toy Story, you watch it everyday and I mean every day! Your favorite character is Woody and he does and goes everywhere with you, he even gets his own bed next to you on the floor. You are a ball of energy and sometimes a bit of an attitude comes out in you, but you are still easy going, it takes a lot to get you upset, but when you do, tears come flowing, big crocodile tears! You are such a sweet brother who is always looking out for sissy. Oh and you are fully potty trained! YEAH, it has been almost 2 months now! Your a sweetie pie who I love so much. Can't wait to see you grow in the next 6 months (well if it can slow down that would be better). I love you my little boy!
Taelor 3 1/2

I know I am a bit behind on this post, but better late than never.
Taelor, you are 3 1/2, and I can't believe another half a year has gone by in a flash. You are such a little character and you are starting to come out of your shell a bit, but still have a timid nature about you. You have such a cute little personality, you amaze me with the things you say and you never stop asking questions, you have a curious mind and are a sponge for learning. This summer you have enjoyed swimming and have been practicing with daddy in the deep end. You are such a sweet sister, and you love your brother and take care of him so well. Don't get me wrong you two do fight (which I know will never end), but you love him to pieces. You still are a bit stubborn at times but we are working on that, I know you think princesses should always get their way. You are turning into big girl who I love so much and I look forward to you turning 4 in a few months! You have such a great heart and you always let me know how much you love me, and I will always enjoy your kisses and hugs! I love you baby girl!

Alyssa's Bridal Shower
I just love this Bride to Be, Alyssa, not only because she is such a sweet, amazing woman but that I get spend 8 hours a day with her. She is my right hand woman at work and with out her I don't know how I would get through my day! I am so happy for her and Scott who have been together for 10 years and are getting married on Oct 1st. I hosted a shower for her and it was such a good time with all the girls from Tilly's. Did I mention I also work with the best woman too! We spent hours chatting and eating, it was so fun! I wish the soon to be Mrs. Roland a very happy and loving marriage. Cheers!
P.S. I will really miss her when she is gone for 2 weeks in Europe!
Trader Joes pizza
This is one of my new favorites from Trader Joe's, pizza dough! It has been a while since I picked up the pizza dough from Trader Joe's but now it seems to be on our menu quite often. I cut the dough into small pieces for the kids and they get to make their own and they love it. I also like it because I get to make pizza just the way I want, very little sauce, sometimes even no sauce, and just the right amount of cheese. It also reminds me of my first job at Northwood Pizza, the kids think it's funny when I throw it in the air. The great thing is that the dough is only $1.29 and the sauce is $2.29 and last for a few pizzas! So next time pizza is on your menu you should try out this one, especially if you have little ones!
English Rose Teas
My wonderful mother in law, Sandie has started a new venture, English Rose Teas. She is amazing and absolutely the best baker I have ever known. She caters Tea Parties for any occasion, showers, birthday parties, Holiday parties or a just because Tea party! If you don't want to have a tea, you can order some of her yummy desserts too! Check out her site here.

Pool safety....please watch your kids!!!
I am writing this post to warn parents out there to ALWAYS watch your children when you are in and around pools/water. While at a backyard pool, I was sitting in a lounge chair at the end of the deep end so that I could keep and eye on my kids while they were playing on the grass area a few feet away from me. A 2 1/2 ft wall is between the pool and the grass and I was sitting right next to the wall, about a foot was between me and the wall and the pool was to my side. After the kids got excited about getting Popsicles, Taelor ran up to my right, and Ethan, thinking he would go to the other side, squeezed his way between the chair and the wall, and water at his side, without me knowing. (Remember this all happened within seconds, Ethan is almost 2 1/2 and does not know how to swim yet!) Next thing I could hear was a little bit of splashing and there Ethan was, already in the water with his little hands splashing the surface, had I not looked down to see him, I would not have heard him, I did not hear a big splash, he just fell right in! I jumped in the pool and got him up, he was OK, THANK GOD! He was a bit shaken up but the main thing was that he was safe.
Yes ,I was watching them and yes I was in arms length of him, but seconds was all it took. I dwelled on this incident for the next few days, but I realized this can happen to any of us. I will take this as a learning lesson and I hope whoever is reading this that they will too. Swim lessons are a must and both kids will be getting them soon!
