Wow, our little princess is already 3 weeks old. She is getting bigger and beginning to show her wonderful personality. We are so in love with her. The last 3 weeks have been so amazing. Our lives are adjusting to parenthood well, which has to be the best thing in the world (even when she wakes us up in the middle of the night). Taelor is doing great. She is sleeping good at night waking only twice in the night to feed and sometimes falling right back asleep while feeding. Don't get me wrong, there are some nights she wants to stay up after a feeding and have a slumber party, but mommy and daddy are just not up for that. Luckily she sleeps in until 9:00am on most days so I am able to sleep in with her. Saul and I used to being early risers, but waking up any time before 8:00 am is too early these days, or should I say it is early for me, because Saul still has to wake up early to go to work. He leaves his girls still sound alseep each morning with a goodbye kiss.
As for Taelor, well she is quite a character with such a wonderful personality already. We just stare at her while she is sleeping and are still amazed that she is our daughter. She has so many funny faces she makes (especially when she is sleeping) and she has to have her hands up at her face when she is sleeping, it is so cute. She is a very curious little girl already, and is very active. She enjoys being entertained and loves to play. She is very alert and loves to just stare at your face. OK, yes she does have some times when she is fussy and when she cries, she has a good set of lungs on her. As the weeks go by we are starting to figure out what she wants, but sometimes it is still a guessing game. Parenthood is a never ending job but it is so rewarding when you just look in her eyes and realize she is so precious and counts on you for everything.
As for me, I am doing well. I love being a mom and I love Taelor to pieces. Her and I are getting out of the house when we can to either meet Daddy for lunch, go on walks, or just walk around the shops. I have found that I have to schedule outings around her feeding times now, so anytime between 12-3 is when we go out. The lack of sleep has not caught up to me yet as I do manage to get at least 6 hours of interupted sleep each night. I couldn't imagine what sleeping through the night is like anymore. It is true when other parents tell you before you have the baby to get your sleep while you can, but it is all worth it. As for Saul he is doing great, and is the most wonderful dad in the world. He is so involved with everything and is so hands on with her. Taelor is one lucky girl to have him. He is so in love with her and cannot wait to see her when he gets home. She has him wrapped around her finger already. She is going to be one spoiled little daddy's girl.
Well I could go on and tell you more about how thrilled we are and how much in love we are but I would be writing forever. All in all we are doing well. Being a parent has touched our hearts in so many ways and Taelor has filled our lives with so much joy and love. We have already forgotten what our lives were like before she arrived and we feel so blessed to have her here. She is our precious angel sent from heaven above and we thank God for her everyday!
Until next time, hope the pictures find everyone well and put a smile on your face or even a tear in your eye. We love all of you and Taelor can't wait to meet all of you!
